For larger jobs or projects that involve working on numerous computers or with numerous people we are very happy to agree a project cost that we are all happy with.

TRAINING COSTS:

• £50.00* / hour for one-to-one home training
• £75.00* / hour for one-to-one commercial training
• £100.00* / hour for group commercial training

• Simple advice to existing customers via eMail, Telephone is completly FREE.
• Remote Support using NetViewer = £25*/ Per 30 minute session (Please note not all problems can be solved remotely but I will advise where we can perform remote sessions instead of site visits)
• On-site visits: £50.00* / hour

HARDWARE REPAIRS:

We now offer ‘free’ pickup and drop off service for the York area on all hardware repair’s. Please see the bottom of the page for ‘free’ pickup area’s. If your outside this area and require a pickup then please email us for a cost.

• Service Charge 1 - £25.00* (Mobile or Workshop)
  This applies to less complicated jobs, like fitting memory.
• Service Charge 2 - £75.00* (Mobile or Workshop)
  This applies to more complicated jobs. like fitting wireless cards or hard drives.
• Service Charge 3 - £125.00* (Workshop only)
  This applies to major jobs, like replacement and testing of a logicboard. This can only be carried out in my workshop.
• General Labour Charge - £45.00* / hour
  This is my general labour charge for repairs that do not fall into the above service charges. So for example you may book your machine in for a repair under service charge 2 then discover that a lot more work needs doing so I would charge the additional hours at £45.00. Before I carry out the work I will seek your approval.
• Assessment Charge - £50.00*
  Before I can give you a quote on a unknown repair we need to assess your Mac first. An assessment will take place and I will report back to you advising you of the problem and the cost of the repair.
• Collection / Delivery Charges
  If you would like me to collect your Mac for repair there is an additional handling charge if you live outside the free pickup area of £15.00*. If you would like me to collect and return your Mac the charge is £30.00*.

MAC DATA RECOVERY:

If your Mac Hard Drive is making strange repetitive clicking noises, then the chances are its about to die. I can recover most types of data from any hard drive. Don’t panic I can usually get it back. Stop using the Mac immediately and contact me.

Data Recovery is charged on a “No Data, No Fee basis” If however I recover any amount of data this is chargeable. My data recovery charge depends on the Hard Drive in question. I charge an additional £20 success fee if all of the data is successfully recovered… Customers never complain about paying this charge!

If your hard drive has physically failed and is mechanically damaged I may need to get it open and looked at. If this is the case I will let you know. Charges in this case will vary and will more than likely be much higher. This is not a service we offer however we have a long-term relationship with ontrack, the leading data recovery specialists.

INSTALLATION / SET-UP:

If you’ve just bought a new Mac then the chances are you’ve got loads of software and other things to configure and setup. Scanners, printers etc… I can make the job easier for you.

MAC WEB DESIGN / MAC WEB HOSTING:

My web design costs vary depending on the type of website you’re looking for. However I like to keep it reasonable and I know how hard and expensive it can be to get started.

• To give you an idea, for a basic site I would charge you £300+vat for 3 pages
